My Illustrations

A building is the product of millions of elements that merge together: elements of culture, ideology, artistry, craftsmanship. Buildings are witnesses to life, and they can represent something different to each individual: the city, the people, a style, a movement or just aesthetics.

I’m always drawn to learn more about the history behind a building, and wish to share that curiosity with you, hoping that when you go out, you observe even the tiny details that express character or beauty around you.

I’m looking forward to creating collections from different cities and regions, sharing interesting stories that might open a window to a part of the world that you might already know, or have yet to explore.

Travel Journals

How it all started. When we first got to travel again, I took a small sketchbook with me and a tiny watercolor kit. It took me weeks to finally draw the first few shaky lines, but once I started, I couldn’t stop. It was in Thessaloniki, Greece that I found this love, drawing some of the monumental remains of the Eastern Roman Empire, and it has continued ever since, through hundreds of drawings.

Travel sketches are never perfect, they don’t have to be; it’s more about the experience of drawing, spending time engaging with the surroundings, creating an imprint on paper and capturing a memory in my mind of the environment, its sounds, the people and the stories I learn about each building. These are my most valued souvenirs from a trip, and I truly hope you can transport yourself in a small way to these places through these sketches.
